Beeswax, a precious resource

Bees will visit over 2 million flowers to produce 1 pound of pure beeswax. It’s such a precious resource that many cultures would use it as currency. In the 1300’s farmers in France paid an annual tax of 2 pounds of beeswax each.

Beeswax has many healing benefits especially for our skin. It protects and repairs dry or chapped skin because it’s a natural moisturizer. It also inhibits the growth of bacteria, is anti-inflammatory and contains vitamin A which helps produce collagen.
